Browsing data
The hosting server (Aruba) may keep technical logs: IP address, date and time, requested page, user agent and result. They are used for security and to run the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest and security duties. Retention follows the host's contract, to be confirmed; as a guide, not more than 12 months.
Contact
The site has no contact form and does not store messages. If you write by email, phone or WhatsApp, we use what you send to reply and to handle enquiries and bookings. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract and, once you book, performance of the contract.
WhatsApp is a Meta service. The site only contains a link: it does not embed Meta scripts. If you open the chat, Meta also processes the data under its own terms.
Technical preferences, no consent required
- Light, dark or automatic theme, stored in the browser (`localStorage`, key `alba_theme`).
- Chosen language, stored in the first-party cookie `alba_lang`, so we can remember it and redirect only the home page.
- Consent choices, stored in the browser (`localStorage`, key `alba_consent`) with the date and the notice version, so the banner is not shown again for 6 months unless the notice changes.
Administration panel
The administrator signs in with a username, a password and a 6-digit code sent by email. The session cookie `alba_admin` is limited to `/admin`, is HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Strict, and ends after 30 minutes of inactivity. The password is stored only as a hash. The email code is stored only as a hash and expires after 10 minutes.
Map
Google Maps is loaded only after consent to the "External content" category, or via the "Load the map" button. Google may receive the IP address and set cookies. Without consent the site shows the address and a link that opens Google Maps in another tab, without embedding the map.
Weather
Forecasts are downloaded by our server from MET Norway (CC BY 4.0). The browser never contacts MET Norway. That service sees the server's IP address, not the visitor's.
What we do not do
No analytics, no advertising pixels, no fonts loaded from outside networks, no embedded video, no profiling and no sale of data for anyone else's marketing.
Recipients
The hosting provider, the email provider used for the sign-in code, Meta if you use the WhatsApp link, and Google if you consent to the map. MET Norway receives only the server's technical request.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Google and Meta may process data outside the EEA. Consent to the map, and choosing to use WhatsApp, concern those services.
Retention
Enquiry and booking data are kept for as long as needed to handle them and to meet legal duties. Logs follow the host's periods. Cookie choices stay in the browser for 6 months. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.
Your rights
You may ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where it applies, portability, by writing to info@residencealbadoro.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante (www.garanteprivacy.it).
